What This Result Means
Voluntary cash top-ups to your or your family members' CPF accounts (SA/RA/MA) can qualify for tax relief. Self top-up relief is capped at $8,000/year; family top-up at $8,000/year. Total personal reliefs are capped at $80,000.
Assumptions and Limitations
- •Input should be your estimated chargeable income (after existing deductions), NOT your gross salary.
- •Tax rates: YA 2024 onwards, progressive from 0% to 24%.
- •Self top-up cap: $8,000. Family top-up cap: $8,000.
- •Total personal relief cap: $80,000.
- •Top-up relief depends on recipient eligibility and available top-up room.
- •Does not include mandatory CPF employee contribution relief.
How We Calculate This
We calculate progressive tax on your chargeable income before and after applying CPF top-up relief. Relief is capped at: min(input, category cap, remaining overall relief cap). The difference in tax is your savings.
